Hola ladies and gents! This blog entry officially marks the first of many digital footprints to come that may or may not compromise my entire future, the excitement is surreal.
If you know me well, the following will seem like old news, but for those of you who don’t, thanks for tuning in! I’m a 22 year old, curious, free spirit longing to venture near and far. Once again, if you’re my peep, you probably saw this coming, however, for any stranger reading this, welcome aboard the Laura Express! City of departure is Miami, and the final destination is everywhere. Corny lines like this one will be aplenty, so continue reading at your own risk, or close this window now before you’ve passed the point of no return.
This blog will serve 2 purposes:
- Photographic evidence for my family that I am alive.
Apart from what I imagine will be a colorful photo diary of my time abroad, I hope this blog will also provide inspiration and encouragement for all other wanderlusters out there. I, by no means, have experience travel writing, nor do I think this blog will get me a Pulitzer prize, so take this for what it is: Laura posting pics with extended captions of incredible places and people (AKA a more in-depth facebook post and/or instagram feed). So prepare yourselves for a very informal, behind-the-scenes blog through my iPhone camera lense of “livin la vida Laura”.
Caution: There may be spelling errors, grammar errors, and some things will surely get lost in translation, but fret not! I’m sure you’ll get past it. Boom. Just like you read that last sentence.
In the past, I’ve been lucky to travel quite a bit, 16 countries and counting; However, I’m extremely eager to continue exploring every bit of this world I can, but I’m in no rush. I’m a happy girl with a long bucket list and plenty of time. I can’t think of better circumstances.
I will actively try to keep this updated, so bear with me, and my travel shenanigans.
Cheers to me for writing all this crap,
Cheers to you for actually reading all this crap,
And cheers to life! Because it’s the most precious thing we’ve got.
